Ford 6.9 & 7.3 Header Exhaust Systems
GM 6.2 & 6.5 Header Exhaust Systems

Turbo power without the turbo! When placed on a dyno, a 7.3 will be within 5-7 HP less than what a turbo 7.3 puts out. This just rpoves that you don't need turbo to make horsepower, just unrestricted exhaust. Note: GM 6.2 and 6.5 non-turbo engine systems are also available and similiar results are realized as the Ford systems. Rear wheel dyno results for a 6.5 header system will be approximately 5-5 HP less that the 6.5 Trubo engine. Call Mid Kansas Diesel for more information if you own a GM diesel product.

The whole secret to the system is the Tuned Headers! Factory exhaust manifolds create uneccessary backpressure, as well as undesireable engine temperatures. With a "Tuned Header", the exhaust charges enter the 3"collector without fighting for airspace like the stock design. Therefore, NO BACKPRESSURE! Next we route the exhaust to the rear of the truck with a DUAL 2.1/2" design. By using the dual system over the single pipe, we gain 38% more aire flow! The exhaust is quieted with dual 40" free flowing glass pack mufflers. Both pipes exit on the same side as the factory exhaust does. Notice that the results of the dyno shows a 48 HP increase at the rear wheel.

Advantages and features of a Mid Kansas Diesel performance-tuned exhaust system:

Overall performance increase of 15-35% over stock engine!
Performance is increased upt to 80% on hills and upgrades!
INSTANT THROTTLE RESPONSE! No diesel lag!
Increased fuel economy! Depending on your driving habits, most see fuel savings of up to 33% (2-4 more miles per gallon).
Will NOT affect manufacturer's warranties, as do some turbo installations!
This is an all-natural system. No worrying about extra cool-downs after a long, hard pull, as with turbos!
NO ADDITIONAL cylinder pressure is created or accompanying head gasket failures as with turbos!
Does not require expensive block O-ringing or steel shimming as a normal turbo installation should!
No cutting or adding of extra oil lines and/or drain backs as with normal installations!
Does not increase exhaust temperatures, which can cause wear on engine compartment components and accelerate oil breakdown!
The headers are 16 guage steel, nickel chrome plated, with bell flanges.
All pipes are 15 guage aluminized pipe with rust inhibiting coating.
This is a COMPLETE system. No extra "suprises" such as turbo fins, bearing seals, or different exhaust pipes, etc. as are common with turbo installs.
