Hello all,

Sorry for writing in English but I'm dutch and don't speak norwegian (I can read and understand a lot but writing is something else) wink.gif
I just got back from winter warfare training in Voss and have spoken to some guys from the norwegian army who recommended this site.

For my suzuki I'm looking to buy a couple of Valp or Puppy axles.
I was told that they are portal axles with a 1:7.1 gear ratio and built in difflocks.
They also told me that the axles are very strong and that's just what I'm looking for.
Does anybody have a set of those axles for sale or knows somebody who does?
Preferably in the Bergen area or south of Bergen.
One of my Norwegian army buddies is coming to visit me in May so he could pick them up en bring them with him on his trip to the Netherlands.

Thanx in advance,

Johan Mallo

Volvo valp or puppy axels ar not portals, and don't have difflockers.

The axels you want is from a tgb13. Looks like a Volvo valp, but are bigger.

here's a link to one that is for sale, just for your reference smile.gif

Okay, then I think there was a slight misunderstanding. When I told the Norwegian collegues I was looking for "laplander" axles they immediately called it Valp. Is there a difference?

Here's an example of how somebody from the UK used the C303 Laplander axles on his jeep.
That's what I want for my suzuki.

So I'm looking for this:

Jess, that is a c303 axel, also called a TB11 i think, tgb13 is 6 wheel.

The valp is a smaler car, not portals. But looks much like it.

From official volvo pages: Laplander truck, as used both by norwegian, and swedish army.

Dont know if the c303 also is called laplander.

This type of laplander has salisbury axles, which is basically a Dana 44 axle, built under licence. It is a strong axle, but are neither portal nor has lockers.
