""You’re seeing correctly. That’s Kerry’s Samurai extracting a stuck Hummer! Here’s the story, as he told it to Gary Munck at Petroworks:

I thought you might enjoy the enclosed pictures. I was out in Chiva Falls, Arizona two weeks ago with a CJ-5, three Toyotas and one $46,000 Hummer. The guy with the Hummer had just bought it about two weeks prior to this run and couldn’t stop bragging about how it could go anywhere. For the most part he was correct, until he high-centered on a rock that I had no problem with. He spent about 15 minutes trying to get off this annoying rock until he trashed his front driveline and his t-case. About then the three Toyotas tried --to no avail-- to get him out of the water using a tow strap. And then came my turn to put a 2100 lb. Samurai against a 7100 lb. “Goliath”. Not only did I manage to pull him off the rock, but I also got him through about twenty feet of sand where one Toyota had gotten stuck by himself. The pictures don’t really do me justice, however I have four video tapes I’m editing that do! Oh, the repair bill for the Hummer was $2200. That’s $400 more than I paid for my Samurai…""
