Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

The one of the two easiest manuals to swap in would be either a T19 4 speed manual, they need a bell housing to mate the tranny to the engine.
The bell housing must be from a IDI diesel, 6.9 or 7.3.

The second one would be a ZF 5, it has an intergral bell housing on the transmission.
It must also be from behind a diesel engine. The ZF 5 was offered from 87 to 97, yes the ones behind Power Stroke will bolt up.

The reason I say they are the easiest is they will both work with the stock transfer case."
