Du kan også med fordel bruke dex5 olje på girkassen, den tåler mye høyere temp. Mener også å ha lest at GM sendte ut en service melding at dex5 skal brukes på alt som gikk til og med ned til dex3 kvaliteten.

I looked into this. The GM site says to STAY AWAY FROM DEX III, and only use DEXRON VI. Dexron VI is a lot more stable at higher temperatures and lasts longer. It can also be used to top off dexron 3, however, you can't use dexron 3 if you already have dexron 6 originally in your trans, or if it has been flushed with dexron 6.
If at any time a GM dealer does work to the transmission, they will ALWAYS use dexron 6
